The firm “AA Architects” founded in 2008 by Ameet Lomate and Amit Khivansara is a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Pune providing holistic and highly customised design solutions for buildings, spaces, master-plans, objects and interiors.
The design rationale of AA Architects has always been simplicity and sustainability in design approach. We strive to achieve an organic product that is befitting its purpose and environment and is defined by the rightness of what is and the richness with which this is experienced.
Our success lies not in relying on some predetermined design concept or traditional way of looking at things; our success comes from understanding who our clients are and where they want to go. Our process and creativity drive our characteristic vision and distil deceptively simple solutions that are seamless in experience and expression.
Ameet Lomate has been a founder and partner of AA Architects since its inception.
Influenced by his love for history, caricature and sketching, he believes that it is possible to infuse the old vernacular structures and materials with new life and adapt them to suit a modern lifestyle. Ameet is an avid collector of Indian coins and bronzes and has been acknowledged by authors worldwide.
Amit Khivansara has been a founder and partner of AA Architects since its inception.
He hails from a construction family immersed in making for 3 generations and has a refreshing approach to design. Amit’s curiosity and passion for problem-solving and an innate love to experiment with different materials matured into the studio’s current design process where every architect, designer and maker is encouraged to challenge and contribute ideas.
